Job Description: Machinery Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Machinery Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining a variety of metal forming machinery. This position requires expertise in troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild metal forming machinery, including punch presses, shears, mills, press brakes, lathes, and power drive systems.
- Inspect machinery for defects, malfunctions, or wear and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to determine the root cause of issues.
- Conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Calibrate and test repaired machinery to verify functionality and accuracy.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery components during rebuilding processes.
- Work with power drive systems and motors, including installation and alignment.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a machinery mechanic, preferably with metal forming equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in welding and machining is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in various environments.
Work Schedule:
