1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm)
Lead Marine is currently looking to hire Riggers for the Shipyard Industry here in San Diego. This Sheetmetal job will be working on Naval Bases & Shipyards from 6:00am to 2:30pm and overtime as needed. DBIDs badge in hand is a plus. Qualified candidates please apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Align, level and anchor machinery.
- Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
- Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceiling and gin pole bolos using bolts and clamps.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of construction, sheet metal or shipyard experience.
- Must be willing and able to work as a team.
- Candidates will be required to get Naval Base Clearance
- Must have at least 1-4 years of rigging experience in heavy industrial and/or shipyards
- Understand weights of equipment and rigging tools
- Skilled with power tools
- Mechanically inclined
