Job Description: Field Service Technician
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Sussex, WI (North)
Pay Range: $30 – $40/hr.
 
Summary:
The Field Service Technician role is responsible for performing onsite installation of equipment in addition to training end-users, OEMs, and customers in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and warranty in a defined geographic region (global)Additionally, you will actively liaise with several departments, including Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to communicate issues, trends, and opportunities.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Provide technical assistance, failure analysis, and troubleshooting directly to customers for all products.
  • Schedule and perform site visits to customers to ensure their needs and concerns are being met.
  • Follow-up on service-related issues.
  • Provide quotes to customers for service and parts as needed.
  • Produce and submit reports regarding all activities, including inspections, service work, start-ups, and failure analysis.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and training aids.
  • Properly document customer calls, service visits and expense reports.
  • Work with other departments as needed to provide technical assistance to resolve issues as they arise.
 
Qualifications:  
  • An associate degree in related field or a minimum four years related experience
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits
  • Ability to operate a multimeter
  • Knowledge of electrical /electronic control systems is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Up to 60% travel globally, as required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a passport within 30 days of employment.
